Havaintopäiväkirja ("field journal") is a database for nature observations of any organisms observed anywhere on earth. The site was published in January 2006 and contained ca. 1 million observations in August 2008.
Database for insect observations from Finland, built and managed by Matti Virtala, and hosted by the FMNH.
Metadatabase of Finnish networks, organisations, collections, surveys, and databases that deal with biodiversity. NODIT was originated by the EU BioCASE project, but this version has been expanded in Finland in 2007-2008. The database should be always up to date, so contact us if your data is missing or not up to date here! These data are also partially available in our Metacat-server.
These have been imaged and digitised since 2009 in a project of the National Digital Library. So far about 30 books have been interpreted which is 10-15% of all. They can be browsed and searched.
