Digitarium will organise in Joensuu a seven month long training course starting in September 2012 and ending in March 2103. Ten people with an academic degree and interest to learn digitising natural history objects will will be accepted for the course. Instruction will be in Finnish.

Digitarium IPT new datasets - 2012, April 24 - 15:39
Robert von Bonsdorff (1907-1992) was a medical doctor who devoted a large part of his life for collecting butterflies and moths. He donated his collection, now with supplements containing about 960 species and over 12,000 specimens to the City Museum of Lahti, his home town. In 2011 the museum decided to relinguish this collection to the Finnish Museum of Natural History where the material will be better maintained. Prior to delivery to the FMNH, Digitarium digitised the entire collection. Resource Logo EML
