This guidebook discusses how to deal with data quality issues within networks collecting biodiversity data. It describes the different stages in the data life-cycle and how to setup different data quality control mechanisms. It provides up to 6 practical case studies to illustrate different possible scenarios.

Robert von Bonsdorff (1907-1992) was a medical doctor who devoted a large part of his life for collecting butterflies and moths. He donated his collection, now with supplements containing about 960 species and over 12,000 specimens to the City Museum of Lahti, his home town. In 2011 the museum decided to relinguish this collection to the Finnish Museum of Natural History where the material will be better maintained. Prior to delivery to the FMNH, Digitarium digitised the entire collection. Resource Logo EML
